THE DESIGN
1.
The sketch, hand drawn or on the computer.

2. I often cut out my design and make a mockup to see if my proportions are to my liking. 2

THE CLASP
3.
My next worry is the clasp. I wanted to make sure it did not look like an add-on but looked like it was part of the design.

a. I came up with a magnetic calsp. I won't know if it will work until I put the whole thing together at the end. I bought the magnets and carved a casing for them out of wax. Made it to be like a puzzle piece so the front and back would always match.

b. A mold was made from the wax casting and a silver clasp was made from the mold.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
4.
Now I have to figure out how to put it all together.

ANOTHER PIECE WAS CAST
5.
The pieces holding the rhodonite got cast. I've estimated I'll need four for the bracelet. A square jump ring was cast as I was only able to make one successfully.

HOLDING TOGETHER
6.
All the peices were casted. Made jump rings to tie the whole thing together. And the length is not too short not too long. Perfect for my wrist. Now I have to see if the magnetic clasp idea is going to even work. I'll be glueing the magnets into the clasp before I set the stones or add the wood. If the magnets don't work I have to come up with something else. And this whole project started with the clasp!
